산업교육연구소(이하 산교연)는 오는 6월11일에 ‘(수출)기업 RE100 극복 전략과 탄소국경세- 우리 기업의 대응 전략 세미나’를 온·오프라인 동시 개최한다고 전했다.
“If RE100 response is eliminated, domestic product exports may be affected”
Preparing sessions for RE100 technology standards and power trading contracts to support implementation RE100 has become an axle of industry, economy, and exports beyond climate issues. A seminar will be held to share detailed information, from technical standards to power trading contracts, with companies that are still unfamiliar with it.
The Industrial Education Research Institute (hereinafter referred to as the SER) announced that it will hold an online and offline seminar titled '(Export) Companies' RE100 Overcoming Strategy and Carbon Border Tax - Our Companies' Response Strategy Seminar' on June 11.
The Korea Institute for Industrial Economics and Trade said, “RE100 should be viewed as a major industrial and economic issue, not a climate issue,” and added, “As one in two domestic export companies said they were unaware of RE100, it is expected that there will be a significant blow to domestic product exports if RE100 response is eliminated.”
This seminar will begin with the reason why domestic companies need a response strategy, and will introduce the current status of RE100 implementation and technical standards, the Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) and direct PPA system to support RE100 implementation, review the role of RE100 verification and certification, and suitability assessment, and share various information on corporate renewable energy procurement practices.
The seminar topics for this day were: △[RE100 implementation strategy and Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM)] Why domestic companies need a response strategy △Real estate of domestic companies100 Implementation Status and RE100 Technology Standards △ Introduction to the Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) system to support RE100 implementation △ Introduction to the direct PPA system and detailed operation plan △ Understanding RE100 verification and review of the role of the suitability assessment field △ Corporate renewable energy procurement practices and RE100 subscription-type private solar power, etc. It will be presented starting at 10:00 AM and ending at 4:50 PM.
An official from the Korea Energy Agency said, “This is a meaningful opportunity to analyze and share with experts how to respond to RE100 implementation in the current insufficient renewable energy market situation, as well as to understand RE100’s response to the climate crisis and global trends for companies to respond to trade issues. We ask for the participation of many interested parties.”
