Establishment of the Department of Semiconductor Engineering in the undergraduate program starting in 2021
30 students per grade, hired by SK Hynix after graduation
Possibility of advancement to graduate school of semiconductor system engineering SK Hynix announced on the 13th that it will establish a semiconductor engineering department at Korea University and operate it starting in the 2021 academic year.
Korea University's Department of Semiconductor Engineering is a recruitment condition that guarantees employment at SK Hynix after graduation, and the quota for each year is 30. 25 students are selected through rolling admissions (10 for academic excellence, 15 for department fit), and 5 students are selected through regular admissions through the military branch.

Students in the Department of Semiconductor Engineering at Korea University receive full tuition and subsidies as scholarships from SK Hynix. After graduation, students will continue to receive tuition and subsidies for their combined master's/master's/doctoral programs.
The curriculum is a four-year program. The first and second years are for basic liberal arts and basic major courses, while the third and fourth years are for advanced majors and convergence majors, and opportunities to participate in actual research are provided through undergraduate internships.
After graduation, you will be hired by SK Hynix based on your undergraduate grades and internship experience. Alternatively, you can advance to the graduate school program of the Department of Semiconductor Systems Engineering.
Meanwhile, Korea University and SK Hynix have established an industry-academia cooperation program since 2005, and have been operating a master's and doctoral program by opening a semiconductor system engineering department in the graduate school since the first semester of 2009.
