High-speed operation possible without external drive circuit


Toshiba has launched new lens reduction type 1500-pixel monochrome CCD linear image sensors for industrial equipment, the TCD1105GFG and TCD1106GFG.

Toshiba Electronic Devices & Storage Corporation today launched the TCD1105GFG and TCD1106GFG as lens reduction type 1500-pixel monochrome CCD linear image sensors for industrial equipment.

Both products support data rates up to 25MHz. The timing generator circuit and CCD driver are integrated to enable high-speed operation without an external driving circuit. The sample and hold circuit is built in to increase the video output signal cycle.

The two products, which operate at 3.3 V, are suitable for automatic optical inspection equipment, sensor equipment, and barcode readers, and consume less power than Toshiba's existing high-speed product lines, Toshiba officials explained.

The TCD1105GFG features an electronic shutter function, and samples are scheduled to be shipped starting in July.
