Providing solutions suitable for various environments STMicroelectronics (ST) presented a MOSFET IGBT SiC diode optimized for high-power applications, a controller, and a demonstration applicable to various applications.
ST participated in the Korea Electric Power Industry Fair held at COEX in Seoul from the 17th to the 19th, and exhibited ST's 15kW bidirectional PFC solution, 3.6kW totem pole PFC demo board, STSPIN32G4-based camera object color recognition dual motor control solution, and ACEPACK power module.
ST’s 15kW bidirectional PFC solution features a multi-level structure using SiC MOSFETs, which enables greater power per unit area. It also enables inrush current regulation and soft startup. This solution is suitable for high-power electric vehicle charging stations and industrial battery charging stations.
The 3.6kW totem pole PFC demo board, unlike the existing totem pole circuit, adds an inrush current limiting function by applying SCR. It is evaluated as a suitable solution for industrial sites with unstable power environments. It implements high efficiency and low total height distortion (THD) in a small converter with a boost structure using SCR and SiC MOSFET.
A demo was also presented that configured the STSPIN32G4 to drive dual motors. STSPIN32G4 is a product that integrates STM32 MCU and gate driver and is an MCU optimized for motor drivers.

The demo on display shows how a camera vision system and motor control system are used to recognize colored balls and place them on rings of the same color.
ACEPACK drive modules are SiC-based power modules for high performance and high power. They feature size optimization and simple cooling systems that reduce system costs. They are suitable for high power density industrial applications such as solar, electric vehicle charging stations, server PSUs, and industrial motor drives.
