Infineon today announced the launch of its new TEGRION™ security controller family, consisting of a variety of 28nm security controllers.
This family features enhanced device performance by integrating the new Integrity Guard 32 security architecture and the advanced Arm® v8-M instruction set.
TEGRION security controllers are easy to implement, accelerate design-in and time-to-market, have a long product life cycle, and support a wide range of applications from smart home, smart mobility, smart industry, to payment and identification.
TEGRION significantly simplifies application development by leveraging Infineon’s unique Integrity Guard 32 hardware security architecture and enables the “design-for-security” requirements that are essential for the sustainable success of current and future connected applications.
Integrity Guard 32 is a system-wide solution that integrates the processing cores of the system, on-chip memory, and cache.Cryptographic accelerator △Integrates peripheral interfaces into a single comprehensive security architecture.
Highly effective error detection/correction code and self-checking dual CPU cores protect the system. Power-efficient cryptographic accelerators enable fast data encryption and digital signing and other cryptographic operations, and protect the system against side-channel, fault-induced, and physical attacks.
Integrity Guard 32 reduces the effort required for software protection measures, lowering total cost of ownership across the product lifecycle while pushing the boundaries of hardware security.
The first product in this new family, the SLC26P, is EMVCo certified for the payment market and the SECORA™ Pay payment solution, implemented using TEGRION security controllers, delivers industry-leading contactless and personalization performance.
According to the new Mastercard 2023 performance guidelines using 144-byte keys, payment cards adopting the SECORA Pay security solution will be able to complete contactless transactions in less than 155 ms, which is almost half the required transaction time (less than 300 ms).
