High-quality GUI configuration possible with excellent GPU functionality built-in
A new high-performance microcontroller (MCU) from STMicroelectronics, featuring a high-speed Arm® Cortex®-M7 core, minimal on-chip memory, and high-speed external interfaces for maximum performance, is taking aim at the smart home and industrial system MCU markets.
STMicroelectronics (ST), a global semiconductor company supporting diverse electronic applications and customers, announced the launch of the high-performance MCU STM32H7 at a press conference on the 19th.
This product is a high-performance Arm® Cortex®-M7 MCU with an operating speed of up to 600㎒ and is designed to use external memory, allowing for price optimization during board design.
In particular, various high-speed serial/parallel memory interfaces are provided, allowing for a variety of system architecture designs with free memory selection.
It also has powerful security features required for IoT (Internet of Things) applications.
It includes protection against physical attacks, memory protection, code isolation to protect applications at runtime, and platform authentication.
STM32H7S devices further enhance security by integrating hardware cryptographic accelerators based on the latest algorithms, immutable Root of Trust (iRoT), and Debug Authentication to prevent unauthorized access to code and data.
Equipped with these security features, these devices aim for up to SESIP3 and PSA Level 3 certification, meeting the highest industry standards for cyber protection.
It also has all the excellent graphic-related functions built in, allowing for high-quality GUI configuration. It can be widely used in home appliances, industry, and medicine.
