Ostem Implant Introduces OutSystems Low-Code Platform
Rapidly completed development of global CRM application for overseas corporations

Low-code platforms are attracting attention in the IT industry because they allow for the rapid and efficient creation of applications without using complex coding techniques or traditional programming methods.

Outsystems, a low-code platform-based software development solution company, announced on the 1st that it has succeeded in developing a global CRM application for Osstem Implant, the world's number one implant sales company, in a very short period of time.

OutSystems recently successfully implemented Osstem Implant’s global CRM (Customer Relationship Management) application together with Osstem Implant. Osstem Implant, which has overseas corporations in 26 countries around the world, began work on building a CRM application for efficient sales status management and business operations, but using traditional programming methods, it was expected to require at least 12 developers and more than a year and a half. Accordingly, Osstem Implant chose to collaborate with Outsystem, a leading company in high-performance low-code development platforms, and began responding quickly to global business.

Through this collaboration with OutSystems, Osstem Implant was able to complete the development of a global CRM application that can efficiently manage the complex sales network and customers of 26 overseas corporations around the world, while investing only 1/3 of the expected resources. OutSystems and Osstem Implant shortened the expected development period of more than a year to about 4 months, and Osstem Implant demonstrated high productivity by investing only 4 of its own development personnel.

Kim Tae-yong, head of Osstem Implant Information Systems Research Institute, explained, "OutSystems' low-code platform provides an integrated environment where front-end and back-end development can all be done in one place. This has allowed us to drastically reduce the communication time between back-end and front-end developers." In particular, communication between the business team and the development team has greatly improved during the development process, and even when changes to the overall application structure are required, development is done within the integrated environment of the low-code platform, enabling quick modifications and applications.

OutSystems provides an AI mentoring system to enable troubleshooting and updates from a continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) perspective even after application development. OutSystems' unique AI mentor system uses AI technology to analyze whether an application in operation is using excessive resources due to design issues or whether problems are occurring due to insufficient operational management, and visually displays this to increase management efficiency.

Kim Chang-hyun, CEO of OutSystems Korea, said, “The construction of Osstem Implant’s global CRM application is a case where the speed and efficiency of low-code and OutSystems’ unique management stability have created synergy.” He added, “OutSystems will not only provide high-performance low-code platform support for software development in various industries such as manufacturing, healthcare, consumer goods, communications, and leisure, but will also take the lead in solving companies’ digital transformation tasks.”

Meanwhile, OutSystems is a low-code platform company that provides a highly scalable and stable full-stack application development platform and a visual low-code language, leading the digital transformation of companies. Low-code development provides widgets as a way to reduce the amount of code required to develop applications. OutSystems has about 5,000 widgets, which it said can support high development productivity at an unrivaled level in the industry.
