Snowflake, a global data cloud company, is actively expanding the Snowflake developer ecosystem by supporting the developer community to foster domestic data practitioners.

Snowflake announced on the 22nd that it will create a 'Snowflake Community' to foster domestic data experts who have completed its expert course and support them to study in groups.

In addition, Snowflake Korea operates the 'Data Champion' program to foster a group of Snowflake partner data engineers, and grants the 'Data Champion' qualification to those who complete the expert course of University, an educational program provided by Snowflake headquarters.

Snowflake University offers a variety of education and certification programs to train data experts, from level-up courses that help you understand the basic concepts of Snowflake to professional core certifications such as SnowPro Core and SnowPro Data Scientist.

Developers and data professionals are free to create networking meetings or study groups to continue their data cloud learning journey.You can go. Currently, Snowflake is communicating through study groups and Facebook user group communities.

The 'Data Champion' program, which was launched for the first time in Korea, targets Snowflake partner data engineers, and after a total of three months of preparation period from selection, training, and certification acquisition, all participants obtained SnowPro Core certification.

These Data Champions will be qualified as Snowflake data experts, capable of providing customer support, including field technical validation.

Starting with this, Snowflake Korea aims to foster the first Korean “data superhero,” who can be called the headquarters’ global evangelist, by next year.

Data Superheroes are data experts who are making good use of the Snowflake platform, and there are about 70 of them active around the world.

They can participate in various global events of Snowflake to be trained on the Snowflake platform and receive various benefits such as data utilization training through advanced certification training programs.

“As the introduction of data clouds has become essential in many industries, Snowflake is expanding its partner ecosystem and supporting them to enhance practical capabilities across the data cloud,” said Lee Su-hyeon, Evangelist at Snowflake. “In addition to data champions and data superheroes, we will continue to hold hands-on seminars and community events so that end users can easily utilize Snowflake.”
