| Released in four models: 250GB, 500GB, 1TB, and 2TB
| Maximize performance by disabling gaming mode and low power mode
| EKWB heatsink model to be released in Q2 2019 Despite the shrinking PC market, the PC gaming market continues to grow. The PC has become the most powerful video game console.
As game developers actively introduce the latest technologies into their games and the market becomes more active day by day, the capacity of PC games has reached 100GB per game.

WD Black SN750 NVMe SSD 1TB Model Accordingly, Western Digital (WD) launched the 2nd generation NVMe SSD 'WD Black SN750 NVMe SSD' in Korea on the 5th with a capacity of up to 2 terabytes (TB) in a single-sided M.2 form factor.
Western Digital’s new NVMe TLC SSDs will also be available with a heatsink to maintain stable speeds and temperatures in desktop systems and custom gaming PCs.
Typical NVMe SSDs require a throttling design to control performance to keep the SSD's operating temperature within an acceptable range in order to support fast data read and write speeds. The WD Black SN750 NVMe SSD, in collaboration with PC cooler manufacturer EKWB, will feature an option to include an EKWB heatsink on models starting in Q2 2019, starting from 500GB to 2TB capacities. The heatsink dissipates the heat generated by the SSD when it is running, allowing it to maintain high read and write performance for longer periods of time than when the heatsink is not used.
Along with the new SSDs, WD also introduced a dedicated SSD dashboard for the WD Black that adds a 'Gaming Mode' feature. Gamers can maximize performance by disabling the SSD's low-power mode through Gaming Mode.
“VR, immersive effects, and larger game file sizes are driving the need for faster storage and greater capacity,” said Eyal Bek, vice president of marketing, data center and client computing at WD.

(Below) WD Black SN750 NVMe SSD Heatsink Model He continued, “If you want to play games continuously, heat management is essential, and this is especially important with NVMe SSDs,” and “The WD Black SN750 NVMe SSD will support a comfortable gameplay environment for hardcore gamers with an architecture designed specifically for gaming, passive cooling, gaming mode functions, and a heat sink option to be added in the future.”
The WD Black SN750 NVMe SSD is developed based on a vertically integrated SSD platform that includes WD's own 64-layer 3D NAND technology, firmware, and controller. Sequential read speeds are up to 3,470 MB/s (for the 500 GB and 1 TB models), and sequential write speeds are up to 3,000 MB/s (for the 1 TB model).
With a random read speed of up to 515,000 IOPS (input/output per second) and a random write speed of up to 560,000 IOPS for the 1TB model, it is suitable for multi-threaded applications and data-intensive environments. High random read/write performance allows for quick access to files scattered across multiple locations, reducing game loading times and game save times.
The WD Black SN750 NVMe SSD is backed by a 5-year limited warranty and guaranteed endurance of up to 600TBW (total writes) for the 1TB model and up to 1,200TBW for the 2TB model.
The price is 99,000 won for the 250GB model, 179,000 won for the 500GB model, 359,000 won for the 1TB model, and 799,000 won for the 2TB model, and can be purchased through online shopping malls, etc. The version with a heat sink will be available for purchase after the second quarter of 2019.
