IT expert with 30 years of experience in the domestic security industry, including Symantec and McAfee
Strengthening domestic IAM market position and leadership, focusing on business growth
Independent identity provider Okta has appointed a new head of its Korean branch.
Okta announced on the 15th that it has appointed Lee Seok-ho, former president of Symantec Korea, as the new Korean representative of Okta.
Seok-Ho Lee, the new CEO of Okta Korea, will oversee Okta’s Korean business. He will also focus on strengthening the company’s position and leadership in the domestic identity and access management (IAM) market and growing the business.
The new CEO, Seok-Ho Lee, is an IT expert with over 30 years of experience in the industry. He has worked for numerous IT companies and is a leader who has gained experience in the domestic security industry. He is said to have led the Korean branches of global security companies such as Symantec, Blue Coat, and Proofpoint, and served as a business executive at global companies such as Cisco and McAfee, where he led the overall security business including business operations, development, and sales.
Prior to joining Okta, Mr. Lee served as the President of Symantec Korea, where he led the integration of the organization with Blue Coat and drove business growth. As the first CEO of Proofpoint, a cybersecurity and compliance company, he is credited with laying the foundation for Proofpoint to establish itself in the domestic market.
In addition, the representative strengthened the security of domestic companies by helping to protect customers from external attacks and manage information leaks by internal employees through the solution.
