Assistance in establishing a corporate identity security program
Expanding data access security and non-employee risk management capabilities
Added features to improve visibility and provide insights into customer core data in DAS within the Sailpoint Atlas platform.
SailPoint Technologies announced today that it has added new features to its Data Access Security (DAS) and Non-employee Risk Management (NERM) products within SailPoint Identity Security Cloud. The new features will be available to SailPoint Identity Security Cloud customers starting in July.
“These new features will give customers enhanced security and visibility across a variety of identities and the critical data they access, enabling them to build a robust identity security program at the enterprise level,” Sailpoint said.
△Data Access Certification proactively manages secure access. It helps organizations easily identify overprovisioned access and comply with complex regulations and rules. It ensures that only authorized users can access critical data. This allows organizations to review and authenticate access to sensitive and controlled core data, the explanation goes.
△Activity Monitoring function tracks and analyzes activities occurring in the organization's data assets in real time, providing security personnel with enhanced visibility and tools to identify abnormal activities. It monitors all activities within the organization and provides the insights necessary for governance decisions, reducing risky access and attack surfaces.
△The Sensitive and Regulated Data Classification feature automatically catalogs sensitive data by utilizing the default data classification policy along with predefined rules in the environment. It can classify all personally identifiable information (PII), payment card information (PCI), medical records regulated under HIPAA, and information protected under data protection laws such as GDPR. It can catalog content based on internal identifiers and policies, protecting intellectual property, patent information, restricted content, etc.
Sailpoint is also updating Non-Employee Risk Management (NERM). The Non-Employee Risk Management Quickstart Template helps Sailpoint NERM customers manage onboarding, permission modification, and offboarding of non-employees’ identities through pre-configured configurations. In addition, as part of the expansion of global services, NERM now supports new languages such as Korean, Chinese, and Brazilian.
SailPoint Identity Security Cloud Service adds Management of Inactive Identities. The Identity UI has been redesigned to provide a single pane of glass for users. It offers additional features like an attribute copy tool and is also effective for auditing, providing an enhanced identity management experience for all customers.
“Enterprises need complete visibility into their complex and massive identity environment, spanning all the applications and data within those apps,” said Grady Summers, vice president of products at SailPoint. “These updates to DAS and NERM further demonstrate SailPoint’s commitment to delivering enterprise-grade solutions built on strong governance that can protect all types of corporate identities.”
