Strengthening large-scale generative AI/ML capabilities within the data cloud

Global data cloud company Snowflake is expanding its partnership investment with Microsoft to integrate new products, including Azure OpenAI and Azure Machine Learning (ML).
Snowflake announced on the 5th that it is strengthening its partnership with Microsoft in the fields of artificial intelligence, low-code no-code app development, and data governance.
Through this, Snowflake increases its investment in Microsoft Azure and provides integrated solutions to customers through a joint market strategy.
“Snowflake and Microsoft are expanding their collaboration to enable customers to leverage the next generation of generative AI,” said Chris Degnan, Snowflake Chief Revenue Officer. “By integrating Microsoft’s generative AI and large-scale language models (LLMs) with our services, our joint customers can be more productive with the latest AI models and frameworks.”

Snowflake has entered into a strategic collaboration with Microsoft to enable data scientists and developers to integrate Snowflake Data Cloud with Microsoft Azure Machine Learning (ML), as well as Azure OpenAI and Microsoft Cognitive Services. With Azure ML integration, customers using both companies’ products will have access to the latest frameworks, continuous integration/deployment (CI/CD) processes, and more, accelerating their journey from ML development to production.
Additionally, Snowflake customers will be able to easily and securely leverage Azure OpenAI and Microsoft Cognitive Services with data from the Snowflake platform to build intelligent data products leveraging the latest AI innovations.
Additionally, Snowflake customers will be able to experience seamless service by leveraging integrated Microsoft products such as Purview for data governance, Power Apps & Automate for low-code, no-code app development, Azure Data Factory for ELT, and Power BI for data visualization.
