LG Electronics is also applying artificial intelligence voice recognition technology to its clothing care device, LG Styler.
LG Electronics will unveil the 'LG Styler ThinQ' for the first time at the 'IFA 2018' exhibition opening in Berlin, Germany on August 31.

LG Electronics has been fostering artificial intelligence company-wide since last year, and in its home appliances, the Whisen ThinQ air conditioner, the Tromm ThinQ drum washing machine, and the Styler will now be equipped with an artificial intelligence platform. LG Electronics' global artificial intelligence brand 'LG ThinQ' encompasses products and services equipped with artificial intelligence technology.

'LG Styler ThinQ' can be easily turned on and off or set up clothing care courses using only voice without having to operate it manually. It also informs you of the product's operating status and diagnosis results through voice.

For example, if a user commands, “Hi LG, select the standard course,” the Styler responds, “The standard course has started. This course will take about 39 minutes.” If the user asks, “What course should I use for sportswear?” the Styler responds, “You can download the sportswear course. Would you like to download it?” When you ask, “What’s the problem?” the answer is, “There are currently no detected problems.”

'LG Styler' is a clothing management device that integrates LG's home appliance technologies, including ▲steam technology for washing machines, ▲temperature management technology for refrigerators, and ▲airflow control technology for air conditioners. Demand is increasing as more and more customers want to wear clothes that cannot be washed every day, always clean and neat.

LG Styler reduces wrinkles and eliminates odors without using chemicals with the 'Moving Hanger' that shakes clothes and 'TrueSteamTM' made with water. It also removes 99.9% of bacteria such as E. coli and Staphylococcus aureus from clothes and also removes dust mites and fine dust remaining on clothes. The energy-efficient inverter compressor reduces electricity usage.

LG Electronics is meeting various customer needs with products such as the large-capacity 'Styler Plus' that can manage up to 6 sets at once and the 'Styler Mirror' that can be used as a full-length mirror on the front.

Additionally, customers in 13 countries around the world, including Korea, the United States, China, Japan, Germany, and Russia, are using the LG Styler.
