■CTO Park Il-pyeong, President, Opening Keynote Speech at CES 2019
LG Electronics CTO Park Il-pyeong A day before the opening, LG Electronics CTO (Chief Technology Officer) Park Il-pyeong gave a keynote speech on the topic of ‘AI for an Even Better Life.’
President Park, who also gave a keynote speech on the topic of AI at IFA 2018 held in Berlin, Germany last year, introduced LG ThinQ, which LG Electronics is applying across its business, and explained how the evolution of AI is bringing changes to customers' lives.
■LG ThinQ, AI that exceeds customers’ expectations in their daily lives LG Electronics introduced a new AI at the 'LG ThinQ AI Zone'. The new LG ThinQ goes beyond simply operating according to commands to provide a customized user experience and shows AI that goes beyond expectations that has never been experienced before.
The key is to expand user experience, proactively manage products to maintain optimal performance, and provide optimal services tailored to the situation.
LG ThinQ is growing based on three strengths: customized evolution, wide contact points, and openness. LG Electronics plans to continue to expand the scope of LG ThinQ’s utilization by expanding external cooperation.
■Chloe Suitbot New Product Accelerates Future Food Robot Business LG Electronics introduced a new product, the 'LG CLOi SuitBot', for supporting lower body strength. This is the second product following the lower body strength support robot introduced in August last year.

LG Chloe Suitbot This product detects when the user bends their back beyond a certain angle, and the robot enters a ready state. When the user straightens their back, the robot assists the force applied to the user's back. This can reduce the burden on the user's back during repetitive tasks.
Wearable robots are rapidly growing in demand, especially in industrial settings, as they can help prevent injuries to workers. LG Electronics plans to continue to expand its portfolio from home and commercial to industrial and lead the robotics solutions sector.
■Conquering the ultra-high definition market with the world's first 8K OLED TV LG Electronics simultaneously unveiled its '8K OLED TV' and '8K Super Ultra HD TV'. The 8K OLED TV being unveiled this time is the world's first and is 88 inches in size.

LG Electronics α9 Gen 2 Both products are equipped with the AI processor, 'Alpha 9 2nd generation (α9 Gen2)' to achieve optimal picture and sound quality. This processor analyzes the customer's viewing environment and content, such as indoor brightness and installation location, to provide clearer picture quality and three-dimensional sound.
The Alpha 9 2nd generation processor installed in the 8K TV upscales Full HD (1,920x1,080) and 4K (3,840x2,160) resolution images to the clear picture quality of 8K.
The 88-inch 8K OLED TV can freely control each of its 33 million pixels. It boasts the best picture quality among existing TVs, expressing complete black regardless of screen size.
The 75-inch 8K Super Ultra HD TV expresses more colors accurately by adding 'Full Array Local Dimming' technology to the independently developed 'Nano Cell' technology.
Microscopic molecules measuring approximately 1 nanometer in size precisely adjust the color wavelength, realizing accurate color and clear picture quality from any angle. By densely arranging LEDs behind the screen and precisely controlling each light source, the contrast ratio is increased, and the bezel is reduced to enhance screen immersion.
■LG AI TV, first to connect with Amazon Alexa .jpg)
LG Electronics Equipped AI TV with Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa Following the installation of Google's artificial intelligence assistant 'Google Assistant' on its AI TV last year, LG Electronics is now supporting Amazon's voice recognition assistant 'Alexa' for the first time.
Users can easily use Amazon's services by pressing the 'Amazon Alexa' button on the TV remote control and saying things like "Read an audiobook" or "When will my coat be delivered?"
The natural language voice recognition provided by LG ThinQ has also been significantly enhanced.
LG AI TV remembers the context of previous conversations and answers subsequent questions. If the user holds down the microphone button on the remote control and asks, "What's the weather like today?" and then "What about tomorrow?", it will tell them the weather for tomorrow.
■Emphasis on LG SIGNATURE’s refined design and performance LG Electronics also created a premium exhibition space to introduce its ultra-premium home appliance brand LG Signature in collaboration with famous artists.
LG Electronics collaborated with British installation artist Jason Bruges to emphasize LG SIGNATURE's design that focuses on the essence. The exhibition presents a fantastical atmosphere by comparing the product's intrinsic value to changes in nature.
■Leading the global home appliance market with differentiated core technologies LG Electronics also exhibited its market-leading home appliances based on differentiated core technologies, including clothing care appliances such as washing machines, dryers, and Stylers, as well as the KnockOn Magic Space refrigerator and premium cordless vacuum cleaner Cord Zero.
This is the first time a dual inverter heat pump dryer has been introduced in the United States.
LG Electronics also introduced a new product, the ‘Smart Built-in Oven’. This product uses enamel material on the inside of the product and is equipped with an 'Easy Clean' function that automatically sprays steam for easy cleaning, allowing customers to easily clean the inside of the product.
In addition, LG Electronics recently launched a smart kitchen service that allows anyone to cook easily in collaboration with recipe companies such as 'Innit', 'SideChef', and 'Drop'.

The LG V40 ThinQ is equipped with five cameras, and its strength is fast and convenient photo taking. Visitors can also experience various additional functions provided by the Penta Camera, such as the 'Makeup Effect', which creates the effect of applying makeup with colors recommended by a makeup artist, and the 'Magic Photo', which allows you to move only a selected part of a photo.
In addition, the matte rear glass has a unique charm that cannot be found in existing tempered glass or metal, and is also practical as it does not easily show fingerprints or stains.
LG Electronics also introduced the 'LG K9s', a practical model that is being released in the US for the first time. This product has a metal design and is equipped with a 13-megapixel camera. It also has various convenient functions such as the 'finger touch' function that allows you to take pictures or capture screens by simply placing your finger on the fingerprint recognition button, and the 'phase detection auto focus (PDAF)' that quickly focuses.
