BD5310xG-CZ/BD5410xG-CZ series
Supports a wide operating voltage range of 2.7V to 38V

ROHM Co., Ltd. has launched a high-voltage Hall IC for automotive applications that achieves the industry's highest 42V withstand voltage, contributing to improved reliability in battery power environments where power supply fluctuates rapidly depending on the situation.
ROHM announced on the 22nd that it has developed the 'BD5310xG-CZ / BD5410xG-CZ series', a Hall IC for automotive devices that uses magnetic detection.
This product achieves an industry-leading 42V withstand voltage by adopting a high-voltage process, and connects to the primary power source (directly connected to a 12V battery), contributing to improved reliability in battery power environments where power fluctuates rapidly depending on the situation.
Additionally, it can respond to various applications with a wide operating voltage range (2.7V to 38V).
By incorporating a proprietary internal topology, power consumption has been reduced by approximately 20% compared to general products, achieving the industry's lowest current consumption of 1.9 mA.
In particular, this series complies with the automotive equipment reliability standard 'AEC-Q100' (Grade 1) and incorporates various protection circuits required for automotive use.
The BD5310xG-CZ / BD5410xG-CZ series is a single-pole (switch type) detection type that allows you to select a variety of products depending on the application. It is available in two series: the BD5310xG-CZ series and the latch type detection type BD5410xG-CZ series.
A total of 11 models are available with detection flux densities ranging from 2.0 mT to 28.0 mT.
The single-pole detection type is optimal for position detection applications such as door opening and closing or door locks, and the alternating detection type is optimal for rotation detection of various motors used in power windows and slide doors.
The new single-pole detection type 'BD53103G-CZ / BD53108G-CZ' and alternating detection type 'BD54102G-CZ' will begin mass production in June 2023 with a production capacity of 1.5 million units per month (sample price 300 yen/unit, excluding tax).
Online sales have also begun, and products can be purchased from online parts distribution sites such as CoreStaff and Chip 1 Stop.
A ROHM official stated, “Going forward, ROHM will continue to expand its lineup of sensor ICs for automotive devices, contributing to improved reliability and higher functionality in automobiles.”
