ROHM, 5 new products with industry's lowest ON resistance and low power MOSFETs

Optimal for communication base stations and industrial fan motors, low power and space saving

ROHM is introducing new low-power MOSFET products that achieve the industry's lowest ON resistance, optimizing them for applications that require low power and space savings, such as communication base stations and industrial fan motors.

ROHM announced on the 4th that it has developed a dual MOSFET that integrates two 100V MOSFET chips into a single package, which is optimal for driving fan motors for communication base stations and industrial equipment, and has newly released five models, the "HP8KEx / HT8KEx (Nch+Nch) series" and the "HP8MEx (Nch+Pch) series."

The new product achieves the industry's lowest ON resistance (Ron) by adopting ROHM's latest process and back-side heat dissipation package.

Compared to conventional dual MOSFETs, ON resistance is reduced by up to 56%, contributing significantly to lower power consumption of the device.

Additionally, by mounting two chips in one package, the area can be reduced, contributing to space saving in the device.

For example, in the case of HSOP8, two single MOSFETs (TO-252) built into one chip can be replaced, so the area can be reduced by 77%.

The new product began mass production in July with a monthly production capacity of 1 million units.
