NI Releases Four New USB Type-C DAQs, Enhanced Measurement Capabilities
Free FlexLogger™ Lite program to celebrate launch
Emerson/NI have released four new USB Type-C data acquisition (DAQ) products that provide developers with improved measurement capabilities and enhanced software integration to accelerate the development of complex electronic products.
Emerson/NI announced on the 23rd that they are expanding their NI™ USB data acquisition (DAQ) product line by releasing a new DAQ device. The product name is 'NI mioDAQ (miodeck).'
Engineers must meet industry demands for better quality and faster time to market when developing new technologies. The new NI MioDAQ solution delivers improved measurement performance, more powerful software, and an easier setup experience.
In Korea, NI mioDAQ, an innovative USB Type-C DAQ, will be sold starting today through NI Korea and NI distributor Nubicom. Information about the new DAQ can be found on the NI and Nubicom homepages.
From smartphones to washing machines to biometric sensors, electronic products continue to grow in complexity, requiring engineers to use more powerful tools to design and test increasingly sophisticated products that are essential to our daily lives. Emerson/NI’s new NI mioDAQ is the most powerful DAQ device available, featuring up to 16 channels of 20-bit resolution and 1 million simultaneous samples per second. It is bus-powered via USB Type-C, so there is no need to connect a separate power supply.
mioDAQ offers enhanced measurement capabilities, simplified setup, and upgraded software. The modern design and USB Type-C connection simplify setup and increase accessibility for researchers and engineering teams. This feature allows engineers to easily debug complex problems in the development cycle and significantly reduce costs.
“For more than 30 years, NI has set the industry standard for quality and performance in data acquisition,” said Ritu Favre, president of the test and measurement business group at Emerson/NI.
Additionally, “NI listened closely to the needs of test and measurement professionals to simplify setup and save engineers valuable time. NI mioDAQ solutions deliver powerful new capabilities that provide best-in-class data validation,” he said.
mioDAQ is designed as a computer-based device such as a desktop or laptop, but can be applied to a fully automated test bench. The rugged hardware features up to 32 analog input channels, 4 high-speed analog outputs, 16 flexible digital lines, 4 counters, and guaranteed specifications with 2-year and 10-year calibration cycles.
NI mioDAQ also has features that simplify the initial user setup process. Engineers can scan the QR code attached to the device to instantly access essential software and resources, including pin maps, manuals, drivers, setup videos, and other technical documentation. This efficient approach minimizes setup time and inconvenience, allowing engineers to quickly use the solution. Each device is supplied with all essential connection accessories and a USB cable, further reducing setup time and improving accessibility of quality measurements.
To celebrate the launch of mioDAQ, NI is offering FlexLogger™ Lite, a data acquisition logging program that allows data acquisition without programming, as free software when purchasing mioDAQ. It integrates seamlessly with NI LabVIEW software and the LabVIEW+ family of products for laboratory and manufacturing test systems. This is because it is the same DAQ driver that has been used for the past 20 years. Engineers who have used existing NI DAQ hardware can expect future compatibility and easy performance upgrades.
NI mioDAQ solutions and drivers also support software development using C/C++, C#, Python, and other languages. Emerson offers enhanced Python support to simplify package and driver software installation with command-line scripts. Full documentation is available on the 'Read the Docs hosting platform', and the full open source for the Python package, including over 50 example programs, is available on GitHub.
NI Korea and Nubicom are preparing various events and seminars to commemorate the launch of mioDAQ. Through these events, researchers and engineers will have the opportunity to experience mioDAQ directly and show the upgraded form of NI DAQ, which is widely used in industrial fields.
