Testo Korea, the Korean branch of Testo, a global company in measurement technology, announced today on the 14th a new product, the 'testo 318', an industrial endoscope camera that can easily inspect boilers and ventilation systems.

Endoscope cameras are industrial cameras used to inspect chimneys, boilers and flue gas piping components and detect damage, or to detect foreign objects or deposits within air conditioning and ventilation systems.

The recently announced 'testo 318' is a product that can inspect combustion, boilers, air conditioning and ventilation systems. It is equipped with a 2.4-inch color LCD display (480 × 234 pixels) to realize clear images. It provides a 180-degree image rotation function and a digital zoom function of up to 2x through a 9 mm (0.35 inch) diameter rotating camera.

Battery life is up to 8 hours at 40% brightness, and it supports real-time live view (>24 FPS) function. The 1m long flexible waterproof gooseneck allows you to easily check and remove sediment even in hard-to-reach or difficult-to-access places, and various accessories such as hooks, mirrors, and magnets are also provided.

Equipped with an integrated LED light with 10-level brightness adjustment, it can easily identify distractions, and has a viewing angle of 70 degrees and a viewing distance of 5 to 15 cm. It has acquired IP67 waterproof and dustproof certification, ensuring durability that allows stable operation even in harsh environments.

“Pipes, boilers, and ventilation systems used in today’s industrial sites can cause major damage by leaking oil or water even with minor defects, so they require thorough inspection and maintenance on a regular basis,” said Lee Sang-yeop, business unit manager at Testo Korea. “Since endoscope cameras are devices that measure the inside of pipes or machines that are difficult to see with the naked eye, the number of pixels in the camera and the brightness of the lighting are very important,” he explained.

The manager said, “Since it is often used in heavily polluted or harsh environments, the waterproof and dustproof rating (IP rating) must also be checked,” and “The ‘testo 318’ that we are introducing this time is a product that satisfies all of these requirements at a reasonable price. It is an endoscope camera that is very easy to check and remove sediment, and it is durable and stable as it has obtained a high IP rating.”
