Mouser Electronics, a global semiconductor and electronic components distributor, has launched an evaluation kit to accelerate the development of Root of Trust (ROT) solutions.
Mouser announced today that it is now stocking the EV42J24A CEC173x evaluation kit from Microchip Technology.
The kit supports evaluation and development for the CEC173x Trust Shield family of platform Root of Trust (ROT) controllers, and is a tool for testing and evaluating security functions required for external ROT implementations in data centers, telecommunications, and industrial IoT.
This evaluation kit features an 84-pin socket that provides flexible testing of the CEC1736 and CEC1734 Trust Shield platform devices.
The kits, which each include three samples, support prototyping and rapid development of security features recommended by NIST and OCP, including secure boot, security updates, authentication, SPI monitoring, and crisis recovery.
It enables a fast and efficient development process, especially when used with the Trust Platform Design Suite (TPDS) tool.
The CEC173x kit includes the MEC1723 embedded controller, SPI flash memory, and an application processor.It also includes an interface design connector for connection to the , and provides PICKIT4 header and I2C header options for debugging and programming.
