The 5G Egg is a device that converts 5G signals into WiFi, allowing various devices to use the wireless internet. This product is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon X55 5G Modem-RF System and the Qualcomm FastConnect™ 6800 mobile connectivity subsystem. It supports the latest WiFi standard 'WiFi 6' with a maximum speed of 1.2 Gbps and 'dual-band technology' that uses the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands simultaneously.
The KT 5G Egg can connect up to 16 devices simultaneously, making it a useful option for modern users who frequently use multiple devices, including smartphones, laptops, and tablets. It also features a USB port supporting Qualcomm Quick Charge and a large-capacity 4,000mAh battery, ensuring uninterrupted wireless connectivity for those on the go, even for business trips.
The retail price of KT 5G Egg is 429,000 won (VAT included). The 5G Egg plan comes in two variants: 5G Egg 28GB and 5G Egg 14GB. Monthly plans cost 30,000 won and 19,800 won, respectively. Public subsidies are 180,000 won and 120,000 won, respectively.
As part of its launch promotion, KT is offering customers who sign up by the end of this year more than double the basic data allowance for two years starting from the month they sign up. This means that subscribers to the 5G Egg 28GB plan will receive 60GB of data, while subscribers to the 5G Egg 14GB plan will receive 30GB.
