Microchip Technology Inc. today announced the availability of three maXTouch® capacitive touchscreen controller products that provide pre-certified Class B firmware to meet functional safety requirements for touchscreen-enabled devices.

The three controllers △MXT112UD-MAUHA1, △MXT228UD-MAUHA1, △MXT336UD-MAUHA1 meet various screen demands from 2 inches to 8 inches.
Microchip's unique safety features allow for system shutdown via the touchscreen soft button, eliminating the need for a separate MCU for an external safety certified stop or cancel button.
Additionally, various self-diagnosis functions enable the appliance to detect product malfunctions and automatically turn off the power.
