LG Electronics (CEO Joo-wan Cho) is expanding collaboration to foster and secure excellent talent in the TV software (SW) field.

On the 8th, LG Electronics signed a business agreement with Sogang University to establish and operate a new course, 'Connected Platform Theory and Practice (Capstone Design)' (hereinafter referred to as LG Electronics TV SW course) in the Department of Computer Engineering.

Starting in September, LG Electronics TV SW lectures will feature lectures directly by LG Electronics TV SW Development Director Lee Kang-won and other HE Research Institute staff members, providing a curriculum focused on more practical theory learning and practice.

First, we will provide a four-week course on system software to increase understanding of the smart TV operating system.

Next, it introduces web-based (Linux system, middleware, app) technologies and cutting-edge technologies (AI, Big Data) and provides various experiences based on open source related to media.

In particular, you can demonstrate and control the AI technology applied to TV and connectivity with devices, as well as development and operation experience (DevOps) through real-life cases of △large-scale software development △release (distribution) and configuration management (maintenance).

Through the Capstone Design (Creative Comprehensive Design) course, you can directly manage the entire process from planning/design/production based on the theories learned in class, and develop problem-solving skills for problems that may be encountered in actual fields.br />
Through this lecture, students will have the opportunity to apply various services and software technologies in a real platform environment, and the company is expected to quickly deploy personnel with diverse experience into the field.

LG Electronics TV SW lectures are for 3rd and 4th year students majoring in computer engineering and double majoring. The school can recommend students with excellent academic performance in the subject to LG Electronics.
