Samsung Electronics has achieved the No. 1 global sales position in the global OLED monitor market in just one year.

According to market research firm IDC, Samsung Electronics ranked first in the global OLED monitor market in 2023 with a 34.7% share in value and 28.3% in quantity.

Samsung Electronics will also occupy a 20.8% market share in terms of value in the global gaming monitor market in 2023, achieving the top spot in the gaming monitor industry for five consecutive years since 2019.

Samsung Electronics is actively targeting the OLED monitor market, starting with the launch of its first OLED monitor, the 34-inch Odyssey 'OLED G8 (G85SB)' in October 2022, and then the 49-inch Odyssey 'OLED G9 (G95SC)' last year.

Samsung Electronics expanded its lineup by introducing a number of new OLED monitor products at 'CES 2024', the world's largest electronics show held in Las Vegas, USA in January this year.

Samsung Electronics has released the 'Odyssey OLED G8 (G80SD)' with △32-inch, 4K resolution, 16:9 screen ratio, maximum 240Hz refresh rate, and 0.03ms (GTG standard) response speed. △27-inch, QHD resolution, 16:9 screen ratio, maximum 360Hz refresh rate, and 0.03ms (GTG standard) response speed.The company plans to release new models this year, including the 'Odyssey OLED G6 (G60SD)' and the '24-year-old Odyssey OLED G9 (G95SD)' with new features added to the existing model.

Samsung Electronics' OLED monitors are receiving favorable reviews from global IT media.

PC World, a North American IT media outlet, praised the Odyssey 0LED G8 (G80SD) as “the most important monitor at this CES,” saying, “It has a high contrast ratio, rich color depiction display technology, and an ergonomic design.”

Digital Trends praised the OLED G8 (G80SD) with its AI processor, saying, “It automatically sets the picture quality according to the content,” and “It’s the best AI feature we’ve seen at CES so far.”

Additionally, the Odyssey OLED G9 (G95D) won the 'Innovation Award (Honoree)' in the computer peripheral category at CES2024.
