Easy document work with ‘cloud office’ for business
Collaboration with Vmware to provide virtual desktop services Samsung Electronics announced on the 27th that it will unveil the 'Remote Access' function, which conveniently connects TVs and peripheral devices remotely, at 'CES 2019', the world's largest electronics show held in Las Vegas, USA.

Samsung Electronics Remote Access The newly introduced remote access function allows you to wirelessly connect a PC, smartphone, tablet PC, etc. to the TV remotely and in close proximity, and control the programs and apps installed on each product on the large TV screen.
While conventional mirroring involved the TV simply acting as a large screen, remote access has made it more convenient to use as it allows direct control of devices connected to the TV using input devices such as a wireless keyboard.
For example, users can connect to a PC in their room without a separate HDMI cable connection to the TV in the living room and perform various tasks such as Internet searches and games on the TV screen. In addition, the 'Cloud Office' function, a business cloud service, is provided, so that document work can be easily done through the TV.
In addition, Samsung Electronics has launched 'VMware (VM)Through collaboration with ‘Samsung ware’, we provide a ‘Desktop Virtualization (VDI, Virtual Desktop Infrastructure)’ solution.
Desktop virtualization creates a virtual computer environment for each user in the cloud instead of a physical computer, allowing users to access their assigned cloud PC and work from anywhere using their own devices.
This will allow consumers to use their TVs like PCs anywhere in the world as long as they have a Samsung Smart TV with remote access functionality, and this feature is expected to be particularly useful in countries with low PC penetration rates.
Meanwhile, Samsung Electronics has minimized various security risks, such as hacking, through its own security technology, 'Knox', regarding security issues that users are most concerned about when using wireless connections or cloud services.
Samsung Electronics has been improving and applying its security solution, Knox, through periodic firmware updates to all smart TV products manufactured since 2015, and through this, it has become the only company in the TV industry to receive security certification from the 'CC (Common Criteria)' for four consecutive years.
Samsung Electronics Visual Display Business Division Vice President Lee Hyo-geon said, “With the remote access function, you can now enjoy programs, apps, and cloud services installed on various devices on the large TV screen,” adding, “We will continue to collaborate with partners in various fields to provide even more convenient and useful services to Samsung Smart TV users.”
