SK Materials (CEO Lee Yong-wook) has implemented executive appointments and organizational restructuring, including the appointment of President Lee Kyu-won as CEO of the new corporation SK Materials, following the completion of the merger of the holding divisions of SK Corporation and SK Materials and the spin-off of the new special gas corporation.

SK Materials announced on the 1st that it has implemented the 2022 executive director and organizational restructuring for SK Materials CIC and its subsidiaries.

The executive appointments and organizational restructuring were carried out today following the completion of the merger between SK Materials’ holding division and SK Corporation and the establishment of a new corporation through the physical division of all of the existing SK Materials special gas business divisions.

President Lee Kyu-won was promoted to CEO of SK Materials, a new special gas corporation, and a total of six new executives were appointed through this executive reshuffle.

SK Materials announced, “We have laid the foundation for leaping forward as the ‘No. 1 global advanced materials company’ through this executive reshuffle and accelerated financial execution through organizational restructuring.”

Meanwhile, SK Materials, which is operated as a CIC (Company-In-Company) organization within SK Corporation, is organized into the Business Development Center (Director Park Ki-seon), BM Innovation Center (Director Kim Wan-seong), and Global Tech Center (Director Ha Jeong-hwan).

Through this, the company plans to maximize merger synergies through value-up and integrated portfolio management optimization of its eight subsidiaries in the semiconductor/display/battery material sector, as well as expand its new materials portfolio.
