Participation in 'WAVE 2024', content such as clean hydrogen production and distribution
Approtium, a leader in domestic commercial hydrogen production and supply, introduced the clean hydrogen value chain and future strategy at once.
Approtium participated in 'WAVE 2024 (Ulsan World Future Industry Expo)', a large-scale exhibition that brings together Ulsan's major industries and future new growth technologies, and presented a blueprint for the clean hydrogen business together with Ulsan City.
At this event, held at the UECO (Ulsan Exhibition Convention Center) for three days from November 6th to 8th, Approtium presented various contents on the topics of production, distribution, and carbon capture and utilization (CCUS) of clean hydrogen using digital media and experiential content.
In addition, the booth was designed to provide a glimpse into the ongoing future strategic projects and the value chain of the clean hydrogen business.
Since Ulsan was selected as a hydrogen pilot city, Approtium has played a leading role in establishing a hydrogen industry ecosystem in Ulsan.
As a representative example, 800-900 N㎥ of hydrogen is being stably supplied per hour through dedicated pipelines to Ulsan Yuldong National Rental Apartments, a carbon-neutral housing model.
In addition, by supplying approximately 500 tons of hydrogen annually to eight commercial hydrogen charging stations in Ulsan City, we are helping citizens to use hydrogen stably. In particular, the Together Hydrogen Charging Station has further strengthened Ulsan's clean energy infrastructure by installing the first direct hydrogen supply pipeline in Korea and the third in the world.
Wonkidon Aprotium CEO said, “Aprotium has been focusing on projects related to the supply of clean hydrogen based on close cooperation with Ulsan City,” and “We will do our best to help Ulsan City grow into a city leading in carbon neutrality by building an energy ecosystem utilizing clean hydrogen, while also establishing ourselves as a leading clean energy company.”
Meanwhile, Approtium is participating in the 'Donghae Gas Field Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) Demonstration Project', which aims to store 1.2 million tons of carbon dioxide annually captured in Ulsan and other areas by 2030 in the Donghae Gas Field (58km offshore southeast of Ulsan) where natural gas extraction has been completed. Through this, it is expected to further strengthen its capabilities as a clean hydrogen supplier and eco-friendly company.
