Recognition of transparent and fair personnel management, recruitment, evaluation, compensation, and education/training
Korea Electrotechnology Research Institute (KERI) has been recognized for its transparent and fair human resources management and performance in recruitment, evaluation, compensation, and education and training.
The Korea Electric Power Research Institute announced on the 20th that it had received certification as the '2023 Best HRD Public Sector Human Resource Development Institution' hosted by the Ministry of Education and other organizations.

'Best HRD' is a system that certifies organizations with excellent human resource management and development, such as fairly hiring human resources and providing reasonable evaluation and compensation and education and training opportunities to enhance employees' capabilities.
This is a personnel field certification project with the highest level of credibility in the country, and this year, in the public sector, 4 best organizations including KERI and 44 excellent organizations were selected.
KERI was recognized for its achievements in the field of recruitment, including: △selection of excellent talent based on ability through relaxation of blind recruitment, △expanding special recruitment of disabled persons and veterans, and △introducing a ‘personnel allocation review’ system to maximize efficient personnel allocation and research achievement creation.
In the field of evaluation and compensation, the following are being implemented: △Creating a work-life balance environment, such as obtaining re-certification of the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family’s family-friendly certification; △Improving the promotion system through smooth labor-management consultation; and △Expanding the fairness of the individual evaluation system. There was.
In the education and training sector, efforts to improve the female employment rate through regularizing forums for all employees, implementing integrated AI education to develop employees’ future capabilities, and matching mentors and mentees for new female employees received attention.
KERI Management Support Headquarters Director Moon So-min said, “Attracting many excellent talents and actively supporting them to achieve their big dreams is the foundation for creating a sustainable research institute,” adding, “We will become a research institute worthy of the BEST HRD award through transparent and fair personnel management and systematic human resource development efforts.”
Meanwhile, KERI is a government-funded research institute under the National Research Council of Science and Technology of the Ministry of Science and ICT.
