Keysight and CSRC Sign Business Agreement to Operate 'Keysight ADS East Asia Education Center'
Compound Semiconductor Center, the first in the country to build a full-process environment for high-frequency/high-power compound semiconductors
Keysight Technologies Korea (hereinafter referred to as Keysight) is donating electronic design automation (EDA) software worth 36 billion won to the Mokpo National University Compound Semiconductor Center (hereinafter referred to as CSRC), thereby contributing to the development of the compound semiconductor industry in Jeollanam-do.
Keysight announced on the 16th that it signed a business agreement with CSRC to donate electronic design automation software and operate the 'Keysight ADS East Asia Education Center' to foster semiconductor talent.
The CSRC, which also held its opening ceremony on this day, was established to create an environment that enables design, production, measurement, and evaluation of compound semiconductors in the high-frequency/high-power field, the first of its kind in the country.
“Semiconductor technology leadership is a measure of national competitiveness, and Keysight is delighted to join Jeollanam-do and the Compound Semiconductor Center on this meaningful journey toward this goal,” said Lee Sun-woo, CEO of Keysight, who attended the opening ceremony. “I am confident that the success of the center established at Mokpo National University will lead to the development of semiconductor talent, regional development, and technological advancements such as ANN (Artificial Neural Network) modeling.”
“Keysight’s design process is“I am grateful for the Gram donation and education center operation agreement,” he said. “Jeollanam-do’s weakness is that quality jobs have low competitiveness compared to the metropolitan area. To solve this, we will work with experts to foster the compound semiconductor industry as a new industry in Jeollanam-do based on the semiconductor industry with high added value and economic feasibility.”
Song Ha-cheol, president of Mokpo National University, said, “We will do our best to foster semiconductor experts in Jeollanam-do by linking up with the semiconductor engineering department of Mokpo National University, which will be established in 24 years.”
