ESP32 Predictive Maintenance Node That Detects Faults First Through Equipment Sound and Vibration
A device that attaches a microphone and 6-axis IMU to the ESP32-S3 to learn only the normal operating state of equipment, detects anomalies within the board without cloud connectivity, and alerts before shutdown.

Factory preventive maintenance is still time-based. When the cycle arrives, even functioning components are replaced, and equipment failures occurring between cycles cannot be detected. Vibration diagnostic equipment is expensive and attached to only a few critical facilities, with the remaining dozens of units relying on human auditory inspection. By the time the responsible person perceives "something sounds wrong," it is already too late. We reduced unplanned shutdowns by 61% in a new production line, but that figure was created with dedicated personnel. For operation without human presence, sensors must serve as those ears. [Expected Outcomes] Real-time demonstration showing side-by-side differentiation using two operation nodes attached to a motor test bench (one normal unit and one fault injection unit), three-minute demonstration video from calibration to alert, public disclosure of ESP-IDF source code and training scripts on GitHub, KiCad schematic diagram
