삼성전자가 11일(한국시간) 한국, 미국, 영국, 프랑스, 독일, 싱가포르, 중국 등 50여개 국가에서 ‘갤럭시 Z 플립5·폴드5’, ‘갤럭시 워치6 시리즈’, ‘갤럭시 탭 S9 시리즈’를 글로벌 공식 출시했다.

Samsung Electronics officially launched the 'Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Fold 5,' 'Galaxy Watch 6 series,' and 'Galaxy Tab S9 series' globally in approximately 50 countries, including Korea, the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Singapore, and China, on the 11th (Korean time). The global launch is scheduled to be completed by next month.
Samsung Electronics said that pre-sales for the Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Fold 5 surpassed those of their predecessors in major countries. In particular, it said, “In Korea, pre-sales reached 1.02 million units in one week, setting the highest record for a foldable smartphone.”
On July 26, Samsung Electronics held the Galaxy Unpacked event and unveiled new products. Pre-sales before the official launch took place from August 1 to 7.
The prices of the 'Galaxy Z Flip 5' and 'Galaxy Z Fold 5' have slightly increased. Based on domestic prices, the 'Galaxy Z Flip 5' is △1,399,200 won (256GB) △1,522,000 won (512GB), and the 'Galaxy Z Fold 5' is △2,097,700 won (256GB) △2,218,700 won (512GB) △2,467,000 won (1TB, Samsung.com, Samsung Gangnam exclusive).
It is slightly higher by about 50,000 won than the price of the previous 'Galaxy Z Flip 4' at △1,353,000 won (256GB) △1,474,000 won (512GB), and is about 100,000 won higher than the price of the 'Galaxy Z Fold 4' at △1,998,700 won (256GB) △2,119,700 won (512GB) △2,361,700 won (1TB).
The 'Galaxy Z Flip5' comes in Mint, Graphite, Cream, and Lavender colors. The 'Galaxy Z Fold5' comes in Ice Blue, Phantom Black, and Cream colors. Exclusive colors are available at 'Samsung.com' and 'Samsung Gangnam.' Samsung Electronics will introduce the four basic colors of the 'Galaxy Z Flip5' plus four additional colors of yellow, gray, blue, and green through 'Samsung.com' and 'Samsung Gangnam.' The Galaxy Z Fold5 will be released in three basic colors, plus two exclusive colors: gray and blue.
Along with the launch of the Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Fold 5, Samsung Electronics also released two types of 'Expo Cases' and two types of 'Artist Collaboration Cases' featuring the works of three promising domestic up-and-coming artists.
When the user attaches the 'Flipsuit Card', which uses near-field communication (NFC) technology, to the 'Flipsuit Case', the image of the card is animated on the cover screen 'Flex Window'. The price is 44,000 won for the Galaxy Z Flip5 case, which includes one flip suit card, and 39,600 won for the Galaxy Z Fold5 case.
Samsung Electronics is offering various benefits to customers who purchase the 'Galaxy Z Flip 5/Fold 5', 'Galaxy Watch 6 series', and 'Galaxy Tab S9 series' from the official release date until September 30th.
