An inverter is a device that optimizes the voltage and frequency of electricity supplied from an external source and transmits it to the motor to control the motor speed with high efficiency. It is a key component used in automation equipment in almost all fields because it can simultaneously achieve energy savings and quality improvement.

The LS Electric G100 series was developed as a general-purpose product to expand the inverter market. It maximizes user convenience by adjusting to the characteristics of each industry or minimizing the cost of securing additional space with a compact design. In addition, it is capable of high torque output across the entire operating speed range, making it easy to apply to not only fans and pumps, which inverters were mainly used for, but also logistics systems, textile facilities, machine tools, and hoists.

The G100 was designed from the planning stage to be assembled on the LS Electric Cheonan Smart Factory automatic production line. Through this, the automation industry's first 100% automated production was realized, productivity per hour was increased by 240% compared to before, and the assembly defect rate was improved to 0%.

Based on the advantages of universal drives applicable to all industries and high product reliability, LS Electric's strategy is to expand its domestic inverter market share from the current 35% to 50% within 5 years and solidify its overwhelming No. 1 position. The current domestic low-voltage inverter market size is approximately KRW 250 billion and is expected to show rapid growth due to the carbon emission reduction trend, the government's smart factory expansion, and the localization policy of materials, parts, and equipment.

An LS Electric official said, “Based on the technological prowess and reliability represented by the G100 series, we will accelerate the expansion of our share in the overseas automation market beyond the domestic market.”
