Focus on data management and sharing, and improving collaboration efficiency
Providing 3D Experience Connected Cloud Service
Dassault Systèmes is taking a full-scale step toward improving data management and sharing, and collaboration efficiency, with the latest version of SolidWorks, which provides cloud services that can be connected to 3DEXPERIENCE solutions.
Dassault Systèmes announced on the 27th that it is releasing SolidWorks 2024, the latest version of SolidWorks, a 3D design and engineering application that leads the development of innovative product experiences.
With this release, users can increase efficiency and collaborate smarter and faster with their teams and partners through improved SolidWorks 2024.
SolidWorks 2024 actively reflects the needs of the user community to present improved performance and new functions. It has improved the efficiency of data management, sharing, and collaboration in the product development process so that users can collaborate smarter and faster with their teams and partners. Users can directly experience the influence of SolidWorks 2024 that overcomes the limitations of existing collaboration and improves workflow.
This release provides cloud-based connectivity services that allow you to connect SolidWorks design data to Dassault Systèmes’ cloud-based 3DEXPERIENCE platform. This significantly reduces friction in the existing design sharing and file management processes and improves user productivity. Additionally, users can utilize various functions within the 3DEXPERIENCE WORKS portfolio, including data management functions, collaboration functions, and access to simulation, manufacturing, and lifecycle solutions.
Data migration has also been improved. The 3DEXPERIENCE Transition Assistant feature has been added to enable secure data migration of any size from SOLIDWORKS PDM Professional to the 3DEXPERIENCE platform.
SolidWorks 2024 is backward compatible with previous versions to enable more efficient collaboration with a wider range of users, and can separately save the latest SolidWorks data for use in previous versions up to two previous versions. The newly added linear dimension tool feature keeps chain dimensions linear even in limited space, and prevents overlapping and overlapping of dimension text and arrows, helping you work more efficiently.
SolidWorks 2024 delivers dramatic performance improvements, especially in large assembly visualization, and has dramatically improved the most common areas of graphical visualization, such as rotating and zooming models in the commonly used “shaded with edges” state.
In addition, SolidWorks 2024 will support a variety of tasks, including parts and features, drawings and detailed designs, sheet metal, structural systems, and electrical routing, allowing users to work more easily across multiple industries and convey design intent more clearly, contributing to improved speed and efficiency.
“As digital transformation spreads across industries, customer demand and business importance for faster and smarter collaboration are increasing,” said Hwajung Kim, Head of CRE Business Unit, Dassault Systèmes Korea. “With the release of Dassault Systèmes’ SOLIDWORKS 2024, we will provide innovative performance and functions such as cloud services, and support users’ smooth and efficient collaboration, strengthened digital competitiveness, and maximized sustainable business innovation.”
