디지털 리얼리티 솔루션 분야 글로벌 기업 헥사곤 매뉴팩처링 인텔리전스(이하 헥사곤)가 제품 설계와 생산 및 품질 검증까지 포괄하는 헥사곤의 엔드투엔드(end-to-end) 토탈 솔루션 도입을 체계적으로 지원하는 헥사곤 이노베이션 센터를 창원시에 개관한다고 4일 발표했다.

Providing one-stop digital transformation consulting and solution experience opportunities
Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence (Hexagon), a global company in the digital reality solutions sector, announced on the 4th that it is opening the Hexagon Innovation Center in Changwon City to systematically support the introduction of Hexagon’s end-to-end total solutions encompassing product design, production, and quality verification.
Hexagon plans to use the newly opened center as a central base in the southeastern region and actively support the transformation of Changwon National Industrial Complex, which used to be centered on manufacturing, into a future-oriented industrial complex by collaborating with companies in the automobile, shipbuilding, marine, and aerospace industries within the Changwon National Industrial Complex (hereinafter referred to as Changwon National Industrial Complex).
Changwon National Industrial Complex, which celebrates its 50th anniversary this year, is actively pursuing restructuring in Changwon Special City to create a foundation for creating future growth engines and accelerating the transition to innovative growth.
Changwon City, a local government, and Korea Electronics Technology Institute (KETI), a specialized research institute, will join forces to establish a new future-oriented vision and strategy, and Changwon National University (hereinafter referred to as Changwon National University) will foster talent essential for the new industrial direction.
Hexagon will provide digital transformation plans across the entire process to companies and research and manufacturing facilities located in Changwon and support their actual implementation.
In particular, Hexagon Innovation CenterThrough the opening of the center, we have completed preparations to play a proactive role in digital transformation by actively interacting with local entrepreneurs, business people, and potential talents.
With the newly built center as the center, we plan to cooperate and exchange with nearby educational institutions, including Changwon National University, to develop a field-centered curriculum and foster specialized personnel tailored to companies in demand through various R&D projects and educational programs to foster local talent.

Meanwhile, the opening ceremony of the Hexagon Innovation Center was attended by Emanuel Viklund, EVP of Global Marketing and Sales at Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence, Boonchoon Lim, President of Korea, ASEAN, and Oceania, Park Min-won, President of Changwon National University, Ryu Hyo-jong, Director of Planning and Coordination for Changwon Special City, Kim Young-bok, Executive Director of Gyeongnam Shipbuilding & Marine Equipment Cooperative, No Dong-woo, Director of Gyeongnam Technopark (Defense Industry Headquarters), and No Chung-sik, Director of Ulsan-Gyeongnam Regional Innovation Platform.
Hexagon has a total of 9 devices for demonstration at its Innovation Center, including: △Stationary measuring machine Global S △Laser scanner sensor HP-L-10.10 △Field measuring machine TIGO SF △Multi-sensor and optical measuring machine OPTIV △Mobile measuring machines: Structured light scanner SmartScanVR800, ZG scanning handheld, multi-joint measuring machine Absolute Arm, 3D laser scanner Absolute Scanner AS1-XL, and laser tracker combined with autonomous mobile robot AMR.We have completed facility maintenance, including expanding educational facilities and making it possible to try them out.
