World IT Show to be held at COEX on the 17th… KM Power to participate jointly
Support for large-scale, enterprise data centers, and edge IT infrastructure
Schneider introduces IT infrastructure products for data centers of various sizes amid growing demand for AI and data centers.
Schneider Electric Korea, a global company leading the digital transformation of energy management and automation, will jointly participate with KM POWER in the '2024 World IT Show (WIS 2024)' held at COEX in Seoul from Wednesday, April 17 to Friday, April 19 with a booth in the AI Hall on the 1st floor.
World IT Show is the largest information and communication technology (ICT) exhibition in Korea. This year, it introduces the latest ICT trends and future technology trends under the theme of 'Innovation and Connection, All Possibilities of the Digital World'. More than 100,000 ICT professionals from home and abroad visit every year, and 70% of the visitors are domestic and foreign buyers, so it aims to expand the actual business of participating companies.
The two companies will showcase core power and IT infrastructure products suitable for large and enterprise data centers, edge, and small environments. Schneider Electric and KMPOWER are introducing a range of uninterruptible power supplies (UPS) for use in a variety of sizes, from data centers for small and medium-sized businesses to general commercial buildings and industrial facilities.
The two companies are introducing the 'Galaxy VS', a high-efficiency and high-availability power protection UPS that provides modular batteries and can be used in data centers. The Galaxy VS UPS can expand the power range from 10kW to 100kW, and it is explained that it is suitable for edge computing as it not only has a built-in modular battery but also supports the 'Live-Swap' function.
The 'Smart-UPS Lithium Ion' equipped with lithium-ion batteries is small and light, so it does not cause any burden in terms of size or weight when configured with edge infrastructure. In particular, lithium-ion batteries can be expected to reduce the total cost of ownership (TCO) by about 50% compared to UPSs that use valve-regulated lead acid (VRLA) batteries.
We’re also introducing the APC Back-UPS Pro Gaming UPS, the first UPS designed for gaming gear with gamers in mind. It provides uninterrupted power protection in the event of a power outage and features 12 customizable RGB LED lighting to match your gaming PC and a variety of console designs.
We are introducing Netshelter SX, a rack system suitable for edge computing environments, and PDU, a power distribution unit responsible for power supply. Schneider Electric's PDUs are available in a variety of environments, including edge infrastructure and high-density data centers, based on standard rack-mount specifications, and can stably supply high-load power while providing monitoring functions for efficient infrastructure operation.
“We will share insights into the IT infrastructure solutions that Schneider Electric presents globally through our booth at the ‘2024 World IT Show’ jointly prepared with KMPower,” said Choi Sung-hwan, head of the Secure Power Business Unit at Schneider Electric Korea. “As demand for AI increases worldwide and the demand for data centers is also increasing, we plan to continuously lay the foundation for our partners with data centers of various sizes to grow.”
