Mendix, a Siemens subsidiary, has released a new version that includes AI-based improvements across the software development lifecycle, helping developers accelerate development collaboration and easily adopt generative AI technologies.

Mendix officially released Mendix 10.18, which supports innovation in software development, on the 7th.

This release delivers AI-powered assistance capabilities across the software development life cycle (SDLC), streamlining onboarding and development experiences for faster, more productive deployments.

Mendix 10.18 introduces new features including Compass, a unified tool for digital transformation, and the Mendix GenAI Resource Pack, strengthening your AI innovation capabilities to turn ideas into effective solutions.

Additionally, updates to the Maia AI assistant support smarter development work and building and deploying smart apps.

The first focus is to strengthen AI innovation capabilities that transform ideas into impactful solutions.

Mendix 10.18 makes it easier to adopt generative AI technologies through a limited-edition generative AI resource pack.

This allows enterprises to quickly create generative AI instances and run their own hyperscaleIt can remove organizational barriers such as setting up a Keilor environment.

It is also designed to facilitate data science and application development collaboration through prompt management capabilities, and to streamline and accelerate the experimentation process.

The second key function is to accelerate successful business outcomes by supporting intelligent AI-based development.

Mendix has introduced a new integrated tool called Compass to help enterprises new to low-code development more effectively implement digital transformation.

The tool guides you through various aspects of your digital process and provides expert onboarding.

It also includes various extended features such as support for domain model creation through the Maia AI assistant, provision of learning materials, and UI recommender.

A third key capability is to improve control and visibility into AI best practices across the software development lifecycle.

Mendix 10.18 helps you build generative AI smarter, more secure, and more cost-effectively.

Detect problematic content with content filtering capabilities, provide a safe AI environment, and ensure application quality and increase developer productivity with Pipelines and new JIRA integration.
