ICEYE, a global leader in operating synthetic aperture radar (SAR) constellations for high-resolution Earth observation, has joined hands with SATIM for AI-based SAR image analysis.

IceEye announced on the 13th that it has signed a partnership with SATIM, a global company that provides AI-based Automatic Target Recognition (ATR) solutions for SAR images, to develop new products.

The two companies will combine IceEye’s industry-leading satellite imagery with Satim’s cutting-edge AI-based image analytics solutions to launch a new product that can rapidly detect and classify vessels, aircraft, and ground vehicles. The initial pilot phase is planned to be followed by a general availability product launch in 2025.

IceEye has the world's largest SAR satellite constellation, providing frequent 25cm high-resolution images of any area on Earth, day or night, regardless of the weather. IceEye has launched a total of 44 satellites since 2018 and plans to launch more than 20 new satellites every year, including in 2025 and 2026.

Satim is an AI technology company specializing in SAR image-based automatic target recognition solutions. It provides three high-precision AI-based solutions that can quickly and accurately detect, classify, and identify targets anytime, anywhere by utilizing powerful SAR images and AI performance.

“This partnership with Satim is a major milestone for IceEye as we move towards becoming the global source of truth,” said Rafal Modrzewski, co-founder and CEO of IceEye. “By combining IceEye’s world-class SAR imagery with Satim’s powerful AI-based SAR image analytics capabilities, we can provide our customers with easier access to actionable intelligence and insights.”

“Satim continues to set new standards in AI-based SAR analytics performance, and this partnership will enable us to make significant progress in advancing space-based solutions that provide critical insights about our planet,” said Jacek Strzelczyk, Satim co-founder and CEO.
