3,500 business vehicles of the four telecommunication companies are equipped with slogans
The four major telecommunication companies (SKT, SKB, KT, LGU+), the Ministry of Employment and Labor, and the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency are conducting a joint campaign to improve national safety awareness.
The four telecommunication companies announced that they held a launch ceremony for the 'Telecommunication Companies-Ministry of Employment and Labor-Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency Joint Safety and Health Vehicle Campaign' on the 5th together with the Ministry of Employment and Labor and Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency.
SK Telecom, SK Broadband, KT, and LG U+ will jointly attach the campaign's core slogan to a total of 3,500 business vehicles. This is expected to last for more than six months starting in December.
The four telecommunications companies have been voluntarily operating the 'Telecommunications Four Companies Safety and Health Council' with the participation of safety and health executives and department heads from each company since the beginning of this year, and this campaign also started from a proposal by the council.
Meanwhile, on November 30, the Ministry of Employment and Labor announced the 'Serious Accident Reduction Roadmap', and Ryu Kyung-hee, Director of the Occupational Safety and Health Headquarters, emphasized, "The roadmap's goal of drastically reducing serious accidents can only be achieved when a culture is established in which all members of society consider safety an important value, and only when a safety culture is supported can we advance to become an advanced safety country."
He also said, “We expect that the vehicles of the four telecommunication companies participating in the campaign will travel across the country and contribute to improving safety culture awareness.”
The four telecommunication companies said, “We plan to continuously cooperate to advance industrial accident prevention measures such as smart safety solutions through the Occupational Safety and Health Council and to create an environment where workers can work safely and healthily.”
