Solidime brand's first SSD that combines hardware and software
Solidime, an affiliate of SK Hynix and a supplier of NAND flash memory solutions, has launched its first SSD brand product since its founding.
Solidigm announced today its first solid-state storage drive (SSD) brand product, the Solidigm™ P41 Plus. The P41 Plus is a PCIe 4.0 product targeting PC users for everyday work and gaming.
It adopts 144-layer 3D NAND flash with a sequential read speed of up to 4,125 MB/s. The Solidigm P41 Plus supports the M.2 2280 form factor and is available in capacities from 512 GB to 2 TB. It is also supplied to OEMs in 2230 and 2242 sizes to increase design flexibility.
Solidigm has announced that it is making a bold investment in storage software with the belief that it will change the paradigm of solid-state storage. The result is Solidigm Synergy™ software. Includes storage drivers and Windows applications along with drive health monitoring tools.
The Solidigm Storage Driver enables host-managed caching. It monitors usage patterns to identify high-priority data and caches important items, allowing fast reads even when the drive is full.
“The Solidigm P41 Plus delivers incredible performance whether you’re playing the latest PC games, managing your business, or editing family photos,” said Sanjay Talleyja, general manager, Client Products and Solutions Group, Solidigm. “It’s a standout product that delivers exceptional value for your money, powered by innovative software, and a superior user experience.”
