32 13th Generation Intel® Core™ Mobile Processors Launched
Equipped with over 300 laptops from high-end to entry-level
Intel has launched 32 new mobile processor products, including the world's fastest 24-core mobile CPU, the i9-13980HX, and is aggressively targeting the market with over 300 notebook products ranging from high-end to entry-level.
Intel unveiled the 13th generation Intel® Core™ mobile processor family on the 4th, which delivers outstanding performance on mobile platforms.
In this announcement, Intel introduced 32 new products targeting all notebook markets.
“The 13th Gen Intel Core mobile processor family delivers a leading platform across all laptop segments, delivering unmatched performance,” said Michelle Johnston Holthaus, executive vice president and general manager of the Client Computing Group at Intel. “Intel is delivering high-quality mobile experiences built on our industry-leading technology and global partner ecosystem, so people can game and create anywhere.”
A notable feature of this release is the launch of the 13th generation Intel Core H-series mobile processor, the first Intel laptop processor to feature 24 cores.
The H series has a maximum turbo clock speed of 5.6 GHz, which is an 11% improvement over the previous generation. It provides 49% improved multi-thread performance and multi-tasking performance.
It features up to 24 cores (8 performance cores, 16 efficiency cores), 32 threads, and improved Intel® Thread Director, and supports up to 128 GB of total memory for DDR5 (up to 5600 MHz) and DDR4 (up to 3200 MHz).
It also offers overclocking capabilities on all HX and HK SKUs.
The P series and U series also provide powerful performance for thin-and-light notebooks.
Featuring up to 14 cores (6 performance cores, 8 efficiency cores) and enhanced Intel Thread Director, it delivers new Intel® Iris® Xe graphics performance including Game Endurance, XeSS Super Sampling, and Intel® Arc™ Control.
It supports a wide range of memory including DDR5, DDR4, and LP variants, and features integrated Intel® Wi-Fi 6E (Gig+), the latest wireless performance with Intel® Connectivity Performance Suite, Intel® Wi-Fi Proximity Sense, and Intel® Bluetooth LE Audio, and up to four Thunderbolt ports to provide the fastest, easiest, and most reliable cable solution for any dock, display, or accessory.
Additionally, Intel is introducing the Intel Movidius Vision Processing Unit (VPU) on some laptops featuring the first 13th Gen Intel Core processors. Co-engineering with Microsoft on Windows Studio Effects allows AI workloads required for professional-level collaboration and streaming to be offloaded to the VPU, freeing the CPU and GPU for other workloads or multitasking.
The new mobile processors will enhance performance in next-generation enthusiast designs, thin-and-light notebooks, foldables, 2-in-1s, and other form factors across the H, P, and U series.
More than 300 products are expected to be showcased from various manufacturers including Acer, Asus, Dell, HP, Lenovo, MSI, Razer, Republic of Gamers, and Samsung.
