Bycor Unveils Scalable, High-Density Modular Power System to Solve Power Conversion Challenges
Vicor will present innovative xEV power conversion approaches using its scalable, high-density modular power system technology in four papers at the World Congress Experience 2023 (WCX™), the international automotive engineering event taking place April 18-20 in Detroit.
The papers to be presented at Bycor include: △Reducing the weight of harnesses with power modules to reduce anxiety about the cruising range, △Managing high-voltage line ripple removal using high-bandwidth DC-DC converters, △Transition to 800V electric vehicles: Bidirectional conversion between 800V and 400V, and △Establishing redundant functions in the electrical system to supply power to 400V or 800V electric vehicles.
“As the automotive industry rapidly transitions to electric vehicles that require higher voltages and power, power system design engineers are looking for high-density, lightweight power conversion solutions that can scale across platforms,” said a Bycor official.
