반도체 경기가 주춤하고 있는 가운데 인공지능 반도체 시장만큼은 뜨거운 열기가 올라오고 있다. 국내 AI반도체 기술 기업인 딥엑스가 최근 기술 성과를 과시하며 주목을 받았다.

DeepX AI Semiconductor 4 Types, High-Performance, Low-Power Super Gap
While the semiconductor market is slowing down, the artificial intelligence semiconductor market is heating up. DeepX, a domestic AI semiconductor technology company, recently attracted attention by showing off its technological achievements.
DeepX, an AI semiconductor core technology company, announced its ambition to become the global standard for AI semiconductors at the 2023 Samsung Foundry Forum (SFF) on the 4th, presenting on the topic of “Technology that makes AI everywhere.”
CEO Kim Nok-won, who gave a presentation at the event, said that through cooperation with Samsung Foundry, they are challenging the localization of AI semiconductor core technology, and that to achieve this, it must be a world-class technology.
DeepX is a fabless company that develops AI semiconductors to implement on-device AI in all electronic devices in the world. It has currently completed the development of four high-performance, low-power AI semiconductors (DX-L1, DX-L2, DX-M1, DX-H1) using Samsung Foundry's 5-28nm process to target various edge and server AI applications.
It consists of optimized AI computing performance and various functional combinations for each category, from ultra-small sensors with low data processing volumes to △CCTV △machine vision △home appliances △robots, as well as △autonomous vehicles △smart factories △AI computing servers that require the highest performance AI algorithm computation.
It has been reported that DeepX is currently distributing the ES (Evaluation Sample) version to customers after completing all verifications and conducting field evaluations for mass production development of application products.

Through collaboration with Hyundai, Kia, POSCO DX, Jahwa Electronics, and Coasia Electronics, we have begun verifying the mass production of AI semiconductor products and are actively promoting the global standard of AI semiconductors, focusing on the U.S., Taiwan, China, and European markets.
Kim Nok-won, CEO, said, “DeepX has developed world-class domestic system semiconductors through close cooperation with the system semiconductor ecosystem, including foundries, IP companies, design solution partners (DSPs), OSAT companies, embedded system companies, and hardware/software, for mass production of products.” He added, “We hope that DeepX can lead the global market with its unique original technology and play a role in driving the growth of the domestic system semiconductor ecosystem.”
He also said, "DeepX aims to provide customers with total solutions from highly scalable AI chip series to commercial module solutions, reference boards, SDKs, and application software packages in order to prove the value of DeepX's original technology in the emerging AI semiconductor market." He also expressed his aspirations, saying, "In the future, we will strive to maintain DeepX's technology at a world-class level for 10 to 15 years and become the global standard in the market."
Meanwhile, DeepX was selected as the best company in the 'Fabless Challenge', a win-win project between large and small businesses hosted by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and Samsung Electronics last year. Recently, the company secured around 160 domestic and foreign patents related to AI semiconductor core technologies, and won the Presidential Citation, the highest group award, at the 58th Invention Day hosted by the Korean Intellectual Property Office, and the Gold Prize for Innovation from Vision System Design (VSD), an American machine vision journal. In addition, the company was recognized for its core technologies and won the Startup Terrace Award at Computex Taipei, a global ICT technology event in Taiwan, competing with around 400 global startups.
