Infineon's 2023 automotive semiconductor sales up 26% YoY
Infineon takes 14% of total automotive semiconductor market share Infineon Technologies (hereinafter referred to as Infineon) further strengthened its position as the number one company in the automotive semiconductor market in 2023.
Infineon said its automotive semiconductor sales in 2023 will grow by more than 26% compared to 2022, widening the gap with the second and third place companies by 4 percentage points.
According to the market share of automotive semiconductor companies surveyed by TechInsights in April, the global automotive semiconductor market size in 2023 is expected to grow by 16.5%, reaching $69.2 billion, the largest ever.
Infineon's overall market share is expected to grow by 1 percentage point from approximately 13% in 2022 to approximately 14% in 2023, strengthening its position as a global leader in the automotive semiconductor market.
Infineon's semiconductors play a vital role in all major automotive applications, including driver assistance and safety systems, powertrain and battery management, convenience, infotainment and security.
According to TechInsights, Infineon increased its market share in all regions and maintained its market leadership in Korea and China.
It also performed well in the Japanese automotive semiconductor market and the European market. Strengthened its position as the 2nd largest company in the North American market.
