임베디드소프트웨어·시스템산업협회(KESSIA)는 23일 서울 엘타워에서 ‘제22회 임베디드소프트웨어·시스템산업협회’ 총회를 개최해 MDS테크 이창열 대표를 12대 회장으로 선임하고 2023년 사업 결과 및 2024년도 사업 계획(안)을 발표했다.

MDS Tech CEO Lee Chang-yeol to lead Embedded Software and Systems Industry Association for the next four years
The Embedded Software and Systems Industry Association (KESSIA) held the 22nd Embedded Software and Systems Industry Association general meeting at the E-Tower in Seoul on the 23rd, appointed MDS Tech CEO Lee Chang-yeol as the 12th chairman, and announced the 2023 business results and 2024 business plan (draft).
At this regular general meeting, the term of the 10th and 11th Chairman, Ji Chang-geon, ended, and a new Chairman was elected. Lee Chang-yeol, CEO of MDS Tech, was elected as the 12th Chairman, and during his term, he plans to continue various activities to promote the rights and interests of member companies and develop the industry on behalf of the embedded industry.
Newly appointed Chairman Lee Chang-yeol said, “The recovery in the global IT market has laid the foundation for expanding the embedded software industry. “In line with this trend, KESSIA will take the lead in ensuring that embedded technology development and research continues and the industry expands,” he said.
KESSIA is a private association established with the goal of creating new business models in the embedded software industry and revitalizing the embedded industry through win-win cooperation. Embedded software companies such as MDS Tech, MDS Intelligence, FA Linux, KMS Technology, Hibus, and Bit Computer and related experts are participating in its activities.
On this day, KESSIA held discussions on the 2023 business performance report and settlement (draft), the 2024 operating plan and budget (draft), the appointment of Lee Chang-yeol as the new president of MDS Tech, and other development directions for the industry.
The 10th and 11th Chairman, Ji Chang-geon, CEO of MDS Intelligence, who completed his term, received a plaque of appreciation for his contributions to the development of the embedded software industry during his four-year term.
KESSIA, which celebrates its 22nd anniversary in 2024, plans to carry out activities to develop the embedded industry through training embedded software experts, expanding the embedded software base, conducting embedded industry research and investigation, and making policy suggestions to the government.
