As Gartner predicts that global AI PC and AI smartphone shipments will reach 295 million units this year, fierce competition is underway among semiconductor suppliers to dominate the on-device AI market.

AMD announced on the 11th that it will hold 'Advancing AI 2024', an offline and live streaming event to introduce the growing ecosystem of AI solutions, including the next-generation AMD Instinct accelerator and AI PC updates.

The event will feature AMD CEO Lisa Su, AMD executives, AI ecosystem partners, customers, and developers, who will explain how AMD’s products and software are reshaping the AI and high-performance computing landscape.

The live stream will be available on AMD’s website and AMD’s YouTube channel on Thursday, October 10th at 10 PM KST (9 AM ET).

Meanwhile, AMD is sharpening its sword in the AI battle with NVIDIA, including recently appointing Keith Strier, a former NVIDIA executive vice president, as senior vice president of global AI markets.
