블랙베리(BlackBerry Limited)가 텔레칩스(Telechips)에서 차세대 디지털 콕핏 솔루션을 위해 QNX Hypervisor를 채택했다고 5일 발표했다.
Next-generation digital cockpit ADAS SoC 'Dolphin5' to be unveiled
BlackBerry Limited announced today that it has selected the QNX Hypervisor from Telechips for its next-generation digital cockpit solutions.
Telechips, a fabless company specializing in the design of comprehensive semiconductors for vehicles, including infotainment APs, ADAS, autonomous driving SoCs, and MCUs, announced that its newly introduced Dolphin5 system-on-chip (SoC) for advanced digital cockpit solutions has applied the QNX® Hypervisor and QNX® Advanced Virtualization Frameworks.
The QNX® Hypervisor is said to have the advantage of high levels of safety and security while integrating multiple systems and operating systems with mixed criticality and different operating environments onto a single hardware platform, reducing initial development costs and long-term cost of ownership.
Telechips will unveil a new SoC product with QNX technology at TECHForum Korea, hosted by BlackBerry QNX at the Chosun Palace Hotel in Seoul on the 7th.
This new partnership will showcase the partnership between the two companies, which have been collaborating on a variety of production programs using Telechips’ existing Dolphin3 SoC since 2021.It is a big deal.
“Announcing this partnership alongside Telechips’ highly anticipated Dolphin5 automotive SoC, further solidifies BlackBerry’s position in the digital cockpit market,” said Dhiraj Handa, vice president, QNX Asia Pacific, BlackBerry. “This ongoing partnership demonstrates the commercial value of our shared vision and demonstrates our commitment to shaping the future of the connected car with safe, secure and innovative technologies.”
“We are excited to further strengthen our partnership with BlackBerry QNX, which has provided cutting-edge solutions to leading global automakers,” said Sungjae Kim, Senior Vice President and Head of Automotive Business Unit at Telechips. “This new solution, powered by QNX technology, offers superior cost efficiency and performance and feature optimization, while its superior security that meets stringent global safety standards and flexible system scalability will make it a trusted solution for global customers.”
