Benefits of managing other companies' servers through SUSE Manager
Joseph Garcia, President of SUSE Software Solutions (SUSE) Asia Pacific, visited Korea to meet with existing Korean customers and announced that the company plans to more than double its growth in Korea over the next three years.
SUSE Software Solutions Korea, an enterprise-level open source specialist, held a press conference at the Federation of Korean Industries building in Yeouido on the 16th and announced its plans in Korea.
The event was attended by Joseph Garcia, President of Asia/Pacific, Choi Geun-hong, CEO of Suse Korea, and Jeong Se-hee, Director of Daol TS.
President Joseph, who was in charge of the announcement that day, said that SUSE is leading the way in supporting innovation of its customers and that it supports customer innovation by providing reliable infrastructure at the bottom of the software.
President Joseph said that many large domestic financial institutions, pharmaceutical companies, and manufacturers are using SUSE's software, and that the company is actively supporting various large companies and community ecosystems along with the open source community.
In particular, he mentioned that during this visit to Korea, he visited client companies and actively worked to expand and support customers.
In particular, the example of Hyundai Motor Company is used to describe the concept of water. When using the container architecture, it was mentioned that the development period for applications that used to take months or years to develop in the past can be shortened from several weeks to just a few days due to the advantages of △fast development and update speed and △solution deployment capability.
Accordingly, many customers said they are moving away from traditional app development methods and toward using containers.
Next, he proposed solutions in three areas. The first, SUSE Linux, was claimed to be safe and secure, and cost-effective. He also proposed the second, ECM, an enterprise container management system, which he said would enable extremely fast application development. He also said that it would minimize the possibility of defects by utilizing the edge.
In particular, he said that the company's excellent support system is a differentiating factor from competitors' products, and that this increases customer retention and contract renewal rates.
It also said it provides software that can run mission-critical workloads, ensuring solid reliability for customers.
It has cloud native characteristics by default, but can also be deployed on-premises, or supports public clouds or hybrid clouds, depending on the customer's preference.
In particular, the most differentiating factor is openness and interoperability, which allows management of not only SUSE Enterprise Linux servers but also all Enterprise Linuxes, including Red Hat, Oracle Linux, and other OSes. In addition, the container platform also features interoperability, and SUSE's Rancher Prime not only includes the Rancher orchestrated engine, but also supports compatibility with AWS, MS, etc.
Next, Choi Geun-hong, CEO of Suseo Korea, stated that they have recently increased their sales team by more than 30%, strengthened their sales force in Korea by nearly doubling the sales team, and are focusing on the Korean market by receiving GS certification as a first-class company through specialization in the Korean market and adding public market certification, and are making activities and investments focused on the Korean market.
Through this, he mentioned the goal of more than doubling growth over the next three years.
Meanwhile, SUSE is a global company that provides enterprise-grade open source solutions such as SUSE Linux Enterprise, Rancher, and NuVector.
