Giga Computing and SK Enmove Sign Three-Party MOU for Next-Generation Technology Development

SK Telecom has joined forces with global leaders in liquid cooling technology to strengthen the competitiveness of its next-generation AI data center.

SKT signed a business agreement (MOU) for the development of next-generation cooling technology with Giga Computing, a global leader in cooling technology, and SK Enmove at 'MWC 25' held in Barcelona, Spain.

This collaboration will promote extensive research and development (R&D) aimed at optimizing cooling performance, a key technology for AI data centers.

Liquid cooling technology efficiently controls the heat generation of servers and components by utilizing special cooling fluids that are not electrically conductive, providing a superior cooling effect than conventional air cooling methods.

These technologies play a critical role in reducing power consumption and operating costs in data centers and maximizing computing performance.

Giga Computing, which is collaborating with SKT, is a global company with technological strengths in AI servers, cloud, and enterprise IT solutions, and has been leading the development of liquid cooling technology.

SK Enmove is a domestic company with expertise in immersion cooling solutions and cooling fluids, and through this collaboration, it aims to dominate the global market by supplying optimized cooling fluids.

3 Companies' AI Data Center Customer PerspectivesThe company plans to conduct technology verification to optimize cooling performance and cost, and jointly plan cooling solutions for major components such as GPUs.

Through this, we plan to secure core capabilities for building hyper-scale data centers and strengthen the SK Group-level total data center solution package.

Yang Seung-hyun, head of SK Telecom’s AI R&D Center, expressed his expectations, saying, “Through this collaboration, we will develop a next-generation liquid cooling solution, a core technology for AI data centers, and emerge as a global leader.”
