Up to 10 GPUs, scalable to meet data center needs
Super Micro Computer, Inc. (NASDAQ: SMCI) today announced the expansion of its workload-optimized GPU server and workstation product line based on the new NVIDIA RTX Pro 6000 Blackwell Server Edition GPUs.
Supermicro’s new product line is optimized for NVIDIA Blackwell generation PCIe GPUs to support accelerated computing applications such as LLM inference and fine-tuning, agentic AI, visualization, graphics and rendering, virtualization, and more. Many of Supermicro’s GPU-optimized systems are NVIDIA Certified, ensuring NVIDIA AI Enterprise compatibility and support for production AI development and process simplification.
The NVIDIA RTX Pro 6000 Blackwell Server Edition delivers significant performance improvements over the previous NVIDIA L40S, including faster GDDR7 memory and double the memory capacity. Support for the PCIe 5.0 interface speeds up communication between GPUs and CPUs, and the new MIG feature expands the number of completely isolated instances that can share a single GPU to up to four.
Supermicro GPU-optimized servers are designed to support NVIDIA SuperNICs such as BlueField-3 and ConnectX-8, and leverage NVIDIA Quantum InfiniBand and Spectrum Ethernet to provide optimal infrastructure expansion and GPU clustering.
“The NVIDIA RTX Pro 6000 Blackwell Server Edition is the data center GPU for AI and visual computing,” said Bob Pitt, vice president of Enterprise Platforms at NVIDIA. “Adding the RTX Pro 6000 Blackwell Server Edition to Supermicro’s extensive range of NVIDIA accelerated systems accelerates virtually any workload, including AI development and inference.”
In addition to the enterprise-grade NVIDIA RTX Pro 6000 Blackwell Server Edition, select Supermicro workstations also support the NVIDIA RTX Pro 6000 Blackwell Workstation Edition and the NVIDIA RTX Pro 6000 Blackwell Max-Q Workstation Edition for AI processing and development, 3D rendering, and media and content creation workloads.
“Supermicro leads the industry in providing the broadest portfolio of application-optimized GPU servers for deployment in a variety of enterprise environments with very short lead times,” said Charles Liang, president and CEO of Supermicro. “Supporting NVIDIA RTX Pro 6000 Blackwell Server Edition GPUs provides new levels of performance and flexibility for customers looking to implement the latest accelerated computing capabilities from the data center to the intelligent edge.”
He also said Supermicro's extensive range of PCIe GPU optimized servers are NVIDIA 2-way It supports NVIDIA H200 NVL in a 4-way NVLink environment, and explained that it will maximize the inference performance of cutting-edge AI models and accelerate HPC workloads.
