Partnership with Anthropic
Databricks, a leader in the data and AI industry, is integrating Anthropic’s powerful AI model, Claude, to accelerate AI agent development.
Databricks announced on the 27th that it has entered into a strategic partnership with Anthropic, a leader in AI safety and research.
This collaboration will integrate Anthropic’s powerful AI model, Claude, into Databricks’ data intelligence platform, enabling more than 10,000 enterprises worldwide to build and deploy AI agents based on their data.
Antropic's latest model, 'Claude 3.7 Sonnet', combined with Databricks' Mosaic AI, is available on AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
This allows enterprises to design and operate domain-specific AI agents using proprietary data.
In particular, it provides advanced solutions optimized for cases requiring complex data analysis and inference in various industries such as healthcare and distribution.
While many companies recognize the need for AI adoption, they struggle to design and deploy AI agents that are both accurate and secure based on data.
With this collaboration, Databricks provides unified governance across the data and AI lifecycle, while Antropic’s cloud models help AI agents operate effectively in real-world business environments.
Ali Ghodsi, Co-founder and CEO of Databricks “This partnership is a significant opportunity for enterprises to unleash the potential of their data through AI,” said Ghodsi. “We will provide a platform for developing domain-specific AI agents that are secure and scalable.”
Dario Amodei, CEO of Antropic, also said, “We are excited to provide a powerful solution with Databricks at a time when AI technology is becoming a core element of enterprise business.”
At the heart of the partnership is Databricks’ unified governance via Unity Catalog and Antropic’s Constitutional AI approach.
Customers can maintain the performance of cutting-edge AI models while securing AI safety guardrails, and implement responsible AI through data lineage tracking and access control.
Through this partnership, Databricks is helping customers leverage its data intelligence platform to solve societal challenges such as early disease detection, new drug development, and environmental response.
“Databricks and Antropic’s collaboration will significantly improve the efficiency of AI development and utilization within enterprises,” said Jackie Brosamer, VP of Block.
