Keysight Technologies' Ixia Solutions Business today announced the addition of multiple platforms to its network, application and security test portfolio, including IxNetwork, IxLoad and BreakingPoint.
The new solutions are designed to simplify and accelerate testing for network equipment manufacturers, service providers, and others. Simplifies network infrastructure testing and enables comprehensive network programmability by supporting testing of emerging technologies such as TLS 1.3 encryption, QUIC video streaming, Microsoft Azure public cloud testing, and IPv6 segment routing.
Common platform improvements Ixia has enhanced its IxOS common test platform, the underlying operating system, to enable users to run the chassis management interface on IPv6 or dual-stack networks.
We've streamlined the platform with auto-discovery, bulk updates, chassis chaining on Windows and Linux, and an improved multi-user experience on shared test beds, while QR code functionality provides details about the test system via scanning from a mobile device.
Network performance testing anytime, anywhere Network equipment manufacturers, service providers and enterprises can use Ixia’s network infrastructure validation solution, IxNetwork, to perform Layer 2-3 network performance testing, enabling them to run the same rigorous tests anytime, anywhere, through a new HTML5 web user interface.
The simple UI streamlines user workflows and supports collaboration and flexible deployment. It can also solve security issues related to Windows-based applications.
When combined with the Linux API Server and REST API Browser, the ExNetwork Web Edition provides a modern automation framework that accelerates testing, enabling users to stay on top of cutting-edge technologies.
End-user experience quality optimization testing Exload provides scalable multiplay service emulation that validates application delivery platforms to help service providers and enterprises optimize the quality of experience for their end users. It fully supports TLS 1.3, including symmetric pre-shared key (PSK) and zero round trip time (0-RTT) for comprehensive TLS 1.3 validation. We test video delivery services to verify the scale and QoE of streaming over new quick UDP Internet connections.
Explode VE enables testing of application delivery networks and service chaining in a virtual environment, simplifying and improving test topologies, including rapid deployment of NFV architectures running on private and public clouds, and rapid validation of VNFs.
It also provides a simple web user interface with an integrated REST API browser to quickly deploy and run automation scripts in a Windows-free environment, as well as streamline your workflow.
TLS 1.3 support for cybersecurity testing With up to 7x the TLS test performance over previous versions, BreakingPoint’s application and network security testing solution, when combined with CloudStorm, enables customers to validate the performance and security effectiveness of TLS inspection devices against mixed applications and cyber threats hidden in TLS.
The solution also supports the use of REST APIs and API browsers to improve automation and build DevOps testing practices for update validation and change management.
BreakingPoint VE (Virtual Edition) is supported on both MS Azure public cloud and AWS, allowing enterprises to test cloud performance and security before deployment, optimizing costs and proceeding with cloud migration.
The recently announced BreakingPoint QuickTest brings the power of BreakingPoint to a pre-packaged test suite, enabling you to quickly evaluate the performance and effectiveness of security devices and assess the cybersecurity readiness of your networks and devices.
Keysight Ixia Solutions “The ability to quickly and easily test the performance and security of network infrastructure and applications from anywhere is critical to an organization’s success,” said Sunil Kalidindi, vice president of product management for the business unit.
“The performance enhancements across ExNetworks, ExRoad, and BreakingPoint will simplify and accelerate testing for all customers, with platform improvements and additional capabilities such as IPv6 test chassis management, modern automation, a web user interface, and improved test execution and management,” the company said.
